Re: Bit of mountaineering
This could be the reason not much wildlife was about..............
The reason the windows are all scratched is they take skiers up to the top in the winter and their ski's have damaged the window.
It is also a great opportunity for those like Mandy who have mobility difficulties to get high up into the hills to enjoy the view, highly recommended.I must also say that Mandy has a real fear of heights, but she really enjoyed the experience.
We saw "Hoodies" everywhere, but unlike our Carrion Crows, very skittish and difficult to photograph.

Nice pics again TB. Mandy is a braver lady than me to enjoy that. I went in one once and never again. I suffer with vertigo which is a nightmare on those, plus I kept imagining the cable was going to snap so well done Mandy for enjoying the ride and view.

Lovely photos and I bet you get a great view from the cable car - i'm not brilliant on heights either but still go up things!
Not sure what the plant is TB ? The views really are stunning - thanks for sharing.

Re: Bit of mountaineering
Those are great scenic shots TB, looks a bit cool up there though. Fair does to Mandy takes a lot of courage to do something like that. I bet you were pleased that she felt it was well worth it. I like the shot of the cable car, and I've never seen a Hoody before, looks a little bit like a Jackdaw with different markings.

A Hooded Crow is actually the same bird as the Carrion Crow and do interbreed, but the "Hoodie" is almost wholey on the West side of Scotland and a bit of Ireland. You can see various patterns of marking, this one is pretty much the classic pattern.

There's a world class mountain bike course........
and the ski lift goes to the top of a Munroe,I was going to walk it,but it seemed like cheating, plus it was in the clouds, will do the whole thing another day.

Loving the pics TB, it would be interesting to see if we could find out what that plant is. Anyone got info on mountainous plants?
