How long did you leave the shutter open on this one TB?

I need to get a decent tri-pod before doing these sort of things properly, the shutter was about 0.4 seconds but was hand held so not quite as sharp as it might be.

I have the tripod and tried star trials one night but did not it open long enough. There was also too much orange light pollution from our local town. You really need to be in the middle of nowhere for good ones.

Great photos TB. Love the water shots. Cars at night are another good one to try. I dont know if you have Aldi Stores in Scotland, but I got an absolute belter of a tripod from the a couple of weeks ago, its easy to adjust, has a rachet handel to raise, and lower as well as extendable legs. The base plate is easy to detach quickly, if you want to take the camera off for a hand shot. Only cost £12-99

Nice photos TB - water is always fun to mess around with and a tripod essential (for me at least) - I love the second photo, it looks like a creamy milkshake.
