Re: Shingo and her cubs
A bit old but this was an update/picture about Shingo and her cubs from Kicheche Camps Website in November:
The Mara Four
One mother, six cubs, you know all about that story. The cubs have been abandoned, you probably knew that too, however the freshest feline news is that the four males have now formed their coalition. They were sighted ambling across the plains last week divorced from their sisters like Fenland farmers. There was much conjecture of how this band of brothers might develop but the four musketeer scenario was always the biggest hope.
They are still young (just 16 months) and will make plenty of errors, not Blatter or Berlusconi ones but errors all the same but if these fantastic four have inherited even half of their mother's skills they will not go hungry and in a few years they may well turn into the four horsemen, taking on huge sized adversaries.
You'll be the first to know of their progress
Great to see the boys sticking together

Thanks for that Doogs - I think the only solution is a WAA trip to the Mara to see for ourselves

Re: Shingo and her cubs
Well it would appear that as a few people have guessed the 4 cheetah's that have been seen in the Mara of late are infact Shingo's and it is 3 males and 1 female
From Peter Rettig on FB 05/03/2012 :
SHINGO UPDATE: "Somebody I know has just returned from the Mara. He has seen Shingo and all 6 sub-adults. 2 young females are with Shingo, and 4 have separated. The four are 3 males and 1 female! Interesting as it was thought that all 4 are males. The good news is that all 6 are doing fine, as well as Shingo"

Re: Shingo and her cubs
Mara Triangle said they think this is Shingo's three boys in Siana area. Reminds us of Honey's boys who grew up in the Triangle and went to Narok side.
