The first herd we saw was as soon as we got off the plane. They were in the distance though. I must confess it did bring a tear to my eye. The one that really got me though, was when I saw the baby elephant feeding!! It just made me think of the orphans in Nairobi, obviously we know what they have lost, but it really brought it home seeing what they had lost and how lucky that little baby was to still have its Mum and herd! I could have quite happily spent all day with the eles when they were in the Marsh, they just looked like they were having so much fun

WOW, those have just bowled me over Ann-Marie. I could say something about each picture, they are stupendous, I really think they are a fabulous collection of photo's Do I have a favourite?????? NO I dont think so, they are all so special in their own right. I would love to know if there is a story behind the ele with the one tusk and the third photo really looks as if the little ele is smiling . I'm not just saying it I really do love those photo's.

Fantastic AM. It must be a really wonderful feeling to spend time woth the Elephants, especialy as we know how family orianted they are, and the intelligence that they have. I can understand your feelings about the Baby Elephant, and the ones at the Orphange. Its this is what it could have been like, and what they missed out on. But at least because people like you adopt the orphens, at least they know they are loved.
Thanks for the lovely photos AM

gorgeous ele photos and you were definitely in the best place to see so many in the Musiara Marsh - I bet you could have spent all day with them, they are so magnificent and so appealing, especially the little tiny ones.
