Wonky tusk and Wellington at Mfuwe Lodge
Wonky tusk and Wellington - a short clip of the wonderful eles at Mfuwe Lodge who visit regularly to eat the mangoes.
One of the most magical things I have ever seen, eles walking through reception.

How lovely was that Lai Pai. It must be so amazing to have them wandering around reception, a real magical moment. His tusk really is wonky isn't it, I wonder how come it's growing that way round.

That is just brilliant LP. Imagine getting up having breakfast and going through reception for your game drive to have and elephant standing looking at you.

No as they are wild - very important to respect that. When they came through we ran behind the reception desk or into the main lounge bit, my photos will show just how close. One knock with their trunk and you are in trouble, so a lot of respect and no quick moves. Once they are walking through the main reception you stand still and keep quiet.
A guy called Nathan is doing a film on them called 'The elephant who came to dinner' we've seen what he's filmed so far and when he's finished he's hoping to get the BBC or someone to buy it. It was magical and really worth seeing.
The first morning SM I didnt have my camera out of the bag, let alone a lens on it, so I just watched, the next time I was READY !! It was 5.30am and I was

Glad you both enjoyed it WS - it's a wonderful place to visit and just amazing to see those eles passing through in such a relaxed way. Pleased you spotted the Monitor Lizard, he was happily doing his own thing!
