Thanks for the link Littlewid, i think a few days ago the system crashed as it was overloaded with people trying to donate, which is good news if they managed too.

On the TV advert it says there are only 35 Amur Leopards left in the wild - very scary figure.

The video comes from the link I posted and on that it gives the information for donating with a donate button if you wish to donate some money before the 9th december, that is the last day donations will be doubled.
They are also texting people to remind them as well, so if you subscribe to them and have donated before, you may be getting a text like I did this morning.

They are so endangered and so beautiful it's just wonderful this is happening for them and your right Lai Pai, their system did crash the other day wit the amount of people trying to donate.........how brilliant is that.

I've just adopted an Amur Snow Leopard through WWF as a Christmas present for Pete. With less than 35 left in the wild I couldn't not add it to our ever increasing family of wild animals.

How lovely Lai Pai, they are so endangered it's good to do all we can and he/she will make a wonderful addition and a great chrissie pressie for Pete. You get a cuddly Snow leopard and regular news at least three times a year I believe.

I too am adopting one, I have the advert constantly on my email page and they keep advertising it on the TV and in the messages I get from WWF, so it's my last chrissie pressie I have to get, got everyone elses so now it's my turn.

good idea Littlewid, so pleased we've both adopted one, it just shows that advertising works, i've several e-mails from them too!

The updates should be interesting and the cuddly toy I must keep it away from Penny

My adoption is all done Lai Pai and I have also donated to the BigGive as well, so that donation has been doubled and with Gift Aid it is even more. It's nice to be able to do something to help protect these gorgeous cats. So my Chrissie shopping is now complete, I get a little pressie but more importantly so do the Snow Leopards.

So true SM - bubs will appreciate in later life that these amazing beautiful animals still exist, and the great news is that the advertising is obviously working, so fingers crossed these beautiful snow leopards are saved before it is too late.

Received my Snow Leopard adoption pack today. Some lovely information, stickers, bookmarks and a cute little Snow Leopard who will have to go in my car to be kept away from the furries Updates will be sent three times a year and the adoption can be ongoing if you wish......mine surely will.

Ooooooooh that's great news, hopefully Pete's is close behind, I was just wondering about it today.

Sounds lovely with all the goodies and the updates. The furry snow leopard will most certainly have to kept away from Tamu and Stealth Hound - probably in my car!

Fingers crossed pete's comes soon as well Lai Pai. I was really surprised how quick mine came. The little Snow leopard is really quite cute and yep, the car is the best place for them, I remember how quickly you said Tamu can destroy toys

so glad it's arrived Lai pai it really is a gorgeous little Snow leopard isn't it and I don't blame you for keeping that part of the pressie, i'm sure Pete won't mind The pack really is full of info and goodies isn't it but the best thing is, we have helped the Snow Leopard with our adoptions. I plan on renewing mine when the year is up.
Hope Pete loves his pressie, i'm sure he will.

I have had Lara & Kian today and they were talking about the Snow Leopards and making me smile with the amount of knowledge they had and why the adopt a Snow Leopard was happening and I have promised to adopt a Snow Leopard for each of them.

One of Lara's comments though was " why are they called Poachers when they should just be called Killers" quite profound for a 9yr old I thought when I hadn't mentioned what poaching was about, she was telling me.

I received my update on the Snow Leopards the other week, did you get yours Lai?

I still need to adopt one each for Lara & Kian, with not being too bright over Christmas I forgot, my update has reminded me to get on with it.

Yes I (we) did Littlewid. I enjoyed reading it although it makes me sad to realise just how few are left in the wild. However by adopting, we are all helping.

Good idea to adopt one each for Kian and Lara - wonderful present and helping a beautiful animal.
