Let's hope it works - I feel so sorry for parrots in captivity in tiny cages Sad

Thanks WS

It's such a horrible sight isn't it Lai - big, beautiful birds like that should never be in small cages No Crying or Very sad

Good idea by the Indian's. Here's hoping they can reduce the number of 'pet' parrots Saving India's Parrots 3525291757 in India

Im embarassed to say I had a cockatael many years ago that died after 1 week. Then I saw a documentary about the industry and how budgies etc. made it to the pet shop and how many of them died or pulled out there feathers with stress in transit after being netted from the wild. I was sickened not just with the whole thing but with myself for the part I played. No customers = No trade!

yea parrots are still kept as pets in many indian homes...most of them in tiny cages...they are so intelligent that they even learn to speak so fast this is indeed making them favorite pets.. Sad

even i badly wanted to keep a parrot as a child, luckily my mom could convince me that it not good to infringe the freedom of any living entity.....

as u said SM the best thing we can do here is to stop keeping them as pets...jus like that we hav to say a strict no to all leather products :) to do our bit for the innocent animals
