Sirikoi live cam - Kenya
Sirikoi Lodge in Lewa, Kenya, now has a live cam set up. It's a beautiful place to visit and has plenty of visitors to the waterhole throughout the day.
This is where Sheba the cheetah is being hand reared.

Re: Sirikoi live cam - Kenya
Got a picture today, unfortunately no animals, but I think it's around 2-00pm there, so it will be hot. I think Kenya's about two hours in front of us.

Re: Sirikoi live cam - Kenya
At the moment they are 3 hours ahead WS, so you are right about the heat of the day. When we stayed at Sirikoi we found 6am was a good time to see animals (whose volunteering for the early shift? ) or again later in the day before dusk.
It's a beautiful scene anyway so thanks for posting WS.

Hi VtCntryGrl
I have to agree, it's not really that clear, but as its not long since it was set up it might improve. We have only just started watching this cam, I've not looked in early in the morning yet, and at that time you might get a better picture, as its so hot there at the moment there could be some heat haze around that would spoil the picture. There are some good web cams from Africa in this section, that give good quality pictures like Petes Pond, and Africam 24/7 if you would like to have a look at them

Had a quick look just now - only one zebra passing through but couldnt see very clearly. They have a Grevy zebra called Zoey (who isn't tame but hangs around the Lodge quite a lot and comes and goes as she pleases).

Only problem with 6am Kenya time is that it's 3am UK time

6-00am our time. Mrs S will go mad if I set the alarm clock for 3-00am
Looks like Sheba could be another star to follow

Re: Sirikoi live cam - Kenya
Sheba is gorgeous Lai, thanks for that link.
Must have been a worrying time for them all when Sheba went AWOL for a few days Glad they managed to find her though :)
Love the photo of Sheba and Sue chilling and that Sheba's purrs were echoing all around

Doogs - I think Sheba must be quite a character. A bit worrying if she starts to wander too much though.
