Deers take on Dogs
The tables have turned here but you can't blame the deer, it does all sound a bit hairy though but at least there is the hope it will all settle down soon but I do agree it is the deers park first.

Oh dear, what an article. Sad news about the injured dogs and people but I would stay well clear at this time of year. We sometimes take our dogs to Lyme Park where they have some beautiful deer, but I wouldn't dream of it at the moment.
Thanks for that Littlewid.

Never like to hear of any animals getting killed/injured, especially people's pets but I'm sorry does common sense not prevail in not letting your dog off the lead (unless of course the dog is extremely well behaved and would come back to you if you shouted on it) in a park full of wild deer Some people just don't think unlike your comment Lai you would go to Lyme Park with the dogs but not at this time of the year

Re: Deers take on Dogs
Sometimes it does begger belief what people will do. A lot of those walkers are regulars so they should know better and even if you are not a regular in the park, common sense says don't let your dogs run free with wild animals around, it's a recipe for disaster.....as some poor dogs have found out.
Hopefully y printing that article next year people will have more sense and the dogs and deer will all be a little bit safer.
