EMAIL ALERT

I received an email yesterday 31/8/12 that was supposed to be from Camilla Wiliams, but it was'nt and it was,nt the correct email address for her. The email just said Hey John, and then an http address that takes you to a site thats advertising work from home, defo a scam, and the page is difficult to get off. If anyone receives one of these from any member just delete it.

Thanks WS. Pete keeps receiving these from Camilla Williams too. For one thing I don't use that name on my e-mails so def a scam. Fascinating to know how/where these come from.

I was wondering if it was through Forum contacts, but as Petes not a member that rules that out. What about FB, is Pete on there, thats the only other way I can think that there's a link as we're friends on FB ?

Pete is on FB as am I but although I changed my surname on FB I haven't for e-mails etc as I use my maiden name for work, so I have no idea. I don't know anyone else who has received any e-mails.

It's really strange. I checked the email you sent to me Re: Siri, and that was from work, and as you sai your maiden name. The email that came through was a Yahoo email account, so thats something to look out for. I dont know anyone ealse who's had one either

I don't have a yahoo e-mail account WS, so I have no idea how that has come about.

Had another one yesterday, it was supposed to be from the company I work for, but this time I checked the email address first, and I knew it was'nt from them. Again it was a Yahoo email address. I'm convinced there's a link with Facebook, as I'm friends with the company on it, so I can post pics, and vids that I've taken when I'm out in the Van. So if you get any emails from someone that you are friends with on FB, make sure you check the email address before opening

Will do WS - thanks for the heads up. I delete so many e-mails as there are so many dodgy ones going round. Glad it wasn't another from me WS
