What fantastic shots LW, thanks tried macro a couple of times last year, but really I needed to set it up properly, the results were'nt good, and the weather this year has not been good really to sit for ages waiting. I'm not going to try it with Wasps though, the last few times I've been stung, I've had an increasingly bad reaction

Glad you enjoyed them, I thought they were amazing too. The lady that shot those pictures got stung 3 times WS, so it's a dodgy thing to do I suppose but those pictures are well worth it. I would love to have the patience to do some macro shooting but you also need other equipement but it would be lovely to explore.
