Following a two-month investigation into the booming illegal trade, customs officials said they pounced last week, apprehending two shipping containers that had arrived at one of Hong Kong's main ports from Kenya and Tanzania in East Africa.

That is over 600 dead elephants, and all for what? Mans greed. Such a disgusting thing and a very sad read. Poaching really is on the increase and I can't imagine what can be done to stop it.

Glad they have managed to seize this amount of ivory but the amount of elephants that have been killed to get it is just disgusting Mad Sad

Tha same main culprit again China, and I do'nt agree for one minute with the Custom Official who said only a small part would have gone to China, and the rest spread over Asia. For it to have beeen sent to Hong Gong, there was only one place it was headed, Also what ate the Kenyan, and Tanzanian authorities doing letting these kind of shipments out of thier Countries
