That is not good to read Doogs but I also agree with te satement that many dogs are taught to be aggresive by their owners, so ultimatley it is not the dogs fault, also many dogs do not attend puppy classes or are taught proper socialisation. I know many dogs owners love their dogs and many are looked on as furry children. We can all love and adore our dogs but it must be remembered they are dogs. I loved Bentley to pieces and it's the same with Nero but both went to puppy classes and Nero went to further dog classes because being a spaniel is brain often went off concentration but I had to learn how to keep him focused. Having a dog takes a lot of time and energy, we all love well behaved dogs but taking the time with them reaps rewards for the dog, you have a happier dog, it's not all about feeding and taking for a walk and thats it. I imagine a lot of these dogs have their owners to blame for being aggresive, I bet many of them are just confused dogs and that confusion comes out in an aggresive manner.

I Agree LW the most important part is a Puppys life thats when the trainng must really start. The Puppy that people laugh at when it tries to nibble their toes, and pinch their slippers can come back and bite them. It's the most important time to teach them, and people have to realise that whats funny when their young can become serious when the get older. You never really stop training your Dog. I very often think that the owners should go to classes even before they get one
