Frankston Sand Sculptures
Yesterday I went and saw these magnificent artworks. Totally stunning, and it was a beautiful sunny day too

Those are brilliant GR who ever does those deserves a . Is the sand brought in especialy ? I've seen sand sculptures before in the UK in Weymouth when we used to holiday there, they were done on the beach there out of the sand already there. Love the cartoon bloke in the first one, and how clever to do him in colour looks almost human, and I'm not surprised those fish are open mouthed .
Thanks for sharing them GR

Those are superb GR - what talent some people have. The detail is just amazing. Lovely to see them and I am sooooooooo jealous of that blue sky.

Re: Frankston Sand Sculptures
Yes, heaps of for those sand sculpters WS. Absolute genius!
I am not sure about the sand, as to whether it's local or bought in, but I heard (there was a sculptor putting on a small display) that water (or the amount of it) is the key to getting the sand ready for sculpting.
That colourful cartoon bloke doesn't blend in doesn't he? And he was situated right at the front of the exhibition, to help draw in the crowds

Those are pretty amazing aren't they, so clever and Lai is right, the detail is spectacular. The only thing is, I think the bloke in the first picture needed a little more work to make him look truely life like

LW
I heard a whisper that the sculptor of the bloke in the first picture is no longer getting a gig next year
