Sea lions - Galapagos April 2013.
Here are a few sealions photos from Galapagos. I will do this properly with info on where we were and what we saw but couldn't resist posting these as they really have such appealing faces, and I have never been so close to a wild animal. They know no fear and are just so special.

Brilliant photos Lai thanks. They are a lovely animal, and as you say seem fearless of humans. Love the one with sand grains all over, great shot, and lovely, and sharpe. Nice to see the fish market, looking after the Seal with some tit bits. Nice to see them as couples as well

Thanks WS. The fish market was so funny I will tell all once I write something to go with the pics. Needless to say, sea lions, herons and pelicans all wait patiently for a scrap ........ or not!

Great pics Lai, I know very little about sealions apart from the fact that they live in the sea and eat fish!! I love their whiskers. They appear very habituated to humans and very relaxed and make great photo material. I am eagerly awaiting the story to go with them when you have time.

Oh For Goodness Sake, How ADORABLE are those pictures just fantastic Lai and those faces are just the cutest aren't they. It must have been so magical to have spent time with them and especially as they are not afraid of humans, it gives you time to get some cracking shots. I cant get over how appealing their eyes are, definitely a Sealion fan

I checked out all the photos from your trip Lai and I must say they were all fabulous! I also went back and read a little about sea lions for my knowledge:)
I'm not that up to date with news here but keeping aside all the poaching issues etc., the last positive thing I heard was that India had banned Dolphin shows and use of captive dolphins for entertainment purposes. Definitely a move in the right direction
