Not that I am keen on people raising wild animals in their home but this poor thing knows no different, looks happy and content where it is, is obviously well looked after it would be such a shame if it was taken from this family and worse still if it is put down Crying or Very sad Sad

I Agree Doogs. A tough one as now she is totally domesticated, how could you possibly have her put down? Completely insane and cruel and unnecessary.

Thats so tough isn't it. If they hadn't taken Lily in she would have died. She has been nursed back to health and she seems genuinely settled and happy and that is all she has known. Moving her could be stressful and kill her and then what a waste of a life and putting her down if she doesn't rehabilitate is cruel as there is every chance she wont rehabilitate now.
It's not as if this couple went and stole her from the wild to keep her as a pet, they saved her life and by doing so she inadvertently became a pet, they weren't doing anything illegal.
I suppose it depends if they remain strict over the rules and just say she is a wild animal whether she has been domesticated or not and it's illegal to house a wild animal or if they look kindly and say she is a wild animal that through bizzare circumstances never had the chance to be wild but was given a life.
I do feel for the people who have given er such great loving care.
