Re: Petitions
Dear all!
In 5 minutes time midnight (BST) this petition will close.
I want to thank you all so much for supporting this campaign over the last two weeks. We have achieved a staggering 23,000+ signatures and I want to let you know it doesn't end here. In the next few weeks I will announce an agreed date that the petition will be handed in to the Scottish Government for consideration. If you are available for that date then please come down to Scottish Parliament, Holyrood, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH99 1SP, and show your support.
I have been informed that this petition is one of the most successful of it's kind EVER in Scotland so thanks!!!
Please feel free to find me on Twitter (@lewiskdavies), or Facebook.
My best wishes to you all and thank you for caring!
Lewis

Re: Petitions
No problem Lai.
Yes it is a bit confusing but what about if we kept all Petitions to this thread (regardless of what animal it is) then we would know where they all were ? It is something I was actually thinking about the other day but never got round to suggesting it.
What does everyone else think ?

Re: Petitions
Totally, that makes good sense. Whatever the animals/bird/issue we stick to one thread then we can easily check if it has already been listed.

More for the bees please
24 June 2013
We have one week to convince the Bees Minister to save Britain's bees.
On Friday, Lord de Mauley will attend our British Bee Summit. He'll make an important bee announcement.

RSPB petition - Safeguard our sealife
https://www.rspb.org.uk/supporting/campaigns/sealife/why/nearyou/scotland.aspxAfter a long and hard-fought campaign, the Scottish Marine Act was finally passed in 2010.
This was seen as an amazing victory for marine conservation and meant that we could finally start to give our precious marine environment the protection it deserves.
Unfortunately, our optimism was short-lived.
Even though Scotland is home to nearly half of all breeding seabirds in Europe, our iconic seabird species have been largely ignored in the process of identifying marine protected areas.
This means that all our seabirds (with the exception of black guillemots) continue to go unprotected when they leave the cliffs to feed at sea.
With our remarkable wildlife spectacle under threat, the Scottish Government must protect seabirds at sea.
