I'm sure Pacha is just over 2 years old. Think it was about May/June 2009 he was born.

Spot on Doogs well done. Aatish has said exactly the same as you. The two Boys are just over a month old, and hang round Olive hoping to steal her kills

Usual wonderful photos and updates from Aatish, shame his time has come to an end again but sounds like he's going to be back in the Mara very soon
Brilliant they managed to spot a Rhino on their last day - that has eluded us on our 3 previous visits to the Mara, maybe this year we'll be lucky, lets hope so

Great news Guys. Had an email off Aatish, he's back in the Mara on Monday. He's going to be photographing the start of the Wildebeast Migration, and is hoping to update twice a day

Re: Masai Mara Safaris
I so agree - it seems the number of cheetah cubs is going up and up - I wonder how many a cheetah can give birth to? If all 7 survive it would be so wonderful.
Just think we may get to see them in September and of course Shingo and her 6 and Sita/Shakira and her 3 Mojo Mbili and Tatu.
(Did Shingo's cubs get names? I can't remember )

Re: Masai Mara Safaris
It's fantastic - I so, so wish we could see small cubs this year, that would be a dream come true if we did.
You're right Lai, there does seem to be a surge in the number of being born and surviving, special mention must go to Shingo for that. I've not heard any word on names yet Lai so don't think they have been named.
There's been no word on Shakira for ages and I'm sure her girls must all have gone their separate ways by now, wonder where they all are :?:
I didn't know that Olive's surviving cub from last year is called Bahati until I read Aatish's update.

Re: Masai Mara Safaris
no I didn't either - sometimes keeping up with all these names is hard :What: and you're right of course about them all going their separate ways. I just always like to think of them as one big happy family
