Coola was found on the road side next to his dead mum who had been hit by a truck. He was taken in by the Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Animals. At that time there was no where for Grizzlies to go for rehabilitation. It seems as though they have done a wonderful job and he appears to be a wee bit cheeky. He lives with Grinder another bear they took in that year. This is a nice little article and some lovely pictures of Coola.

Lovely story LW, and some really great photos. Coola clearly loves the water from those shots, and shot putting the rocks is so funny
