How dreadfully sad is this. For little K'wasi to loose his mum at such a young age is just devastating. The zoo are not sure what happened to Asha whilst she was under Anaesthetic to cause her cardiac arrest but it sounds on the face of it that as she was becoming stiff and having trouble moving and had not long given birth really, that she may have had a calcium problem and then having a general anaesthetic induced a cardiac arrest. It's all just so sad.

The pictures are truly endearing, they make you smile at seeing them both together and the obvious love they have for each other but they also make the tears flow  Sad

RIP beautiful Asha  I love you

Such a tragic story and devastating news. That poor little orphan cub, I do hope K'wasi will be okay.

RIP Asha.

Oh that is so sad and when you look at those pictures of mum and K'wasi together they just look totally besotted with each other. I do hope little K'wasi will be ok with her mum no longer here  Sad
