Today is World Rhino Day.

I thought I would post my own favourite rhino photo of a black rhino taken in Thornybush Game Reserve, SA

Great shot Safariman, I can understand why it's your favourite. I don't know if you know, but there were morning, and afternoon safari drives featured on one of the web cams on here, with a Driver/Presenter, and live video from the vehicle at Thornybush

Lovely shot SM - they really are pretty elusive, think we've only seen two or three in 6 visits. We never saw one the first 3 times we went then since 2011 have seen one each year. The very first one we saw was right at the end of the day so the light was not good for getting photos. If my memory serves me right we got a couple of half decent shots last year, must check !

cheers Safariman, lovely to see your black rhino photo, and so sad to see how their numbers are declining.
