Re: Suggestions For The Forum
The Admin Team would like to thank everyone for their patience yesterday whilst we were continuing to make some small adjustments to the forum. Some of these I am sure you will notice and others were little tweeks.
Wildaboutanimals is an evolving site and we hope to always keep it fresh and interesting for it's members; if any member has a suggestion that could enhance the site please contact one of the Admin Team, we are always happy to consider suggestions.
Once again, thank you for your patience.

Re: Suggestions For The Forum
I appreciate this may be a little early in my membership for making a suggestion... but could we have a dedicated section for bears? There are many wonderful articles etc. out there they really could fill a whole section... please
Re: Suggestions For The Forum
Never to early to make suggestions Liz. I was actually thinking of that if you were going to stay around. There is certainly room for it. Like most of us I'm working over the weekend, but I will have a look at creating it next week, I may ask you for a photo to put at the side of the section if that's OK. In the mean time if you want to start it off you could put it in Other Animals of the World, in a new thread, and I can then transfer it to the new dedicated section.

Yay!!!
You're the best! I've been longing to join a forum like this forever, now I've found you I'm absolutely sticking around
Really happy to donate one of our pictures for the section photo... how about a cute black bear cub? Let me know where you want me to send it and what size you need it to be and I'll sort it first thing tomorrow.
I'll start a thread in the other animals section now... I'm as excited as this panda bear

Calm down calm down I'll PM you next week about the photo Liz, and also discuss a name for it. It's a while since we did a new section so I have to remember how to do it, which is not easy at my age

Agreed, let there be a Bear Section not to be confused with a Bare Section

Hi WMT
Fantastic to have a bear section......I love them myself and i'm looking forward to catching up on your threads, may be slow and steady for a bit but I will get there.
I have only seen bears at ZSL London but would love to see them in the wild. My friend lives in Kelowna BC Canada and is always pestering me to go there.....are there many bears around that area?

Hi Littlewid,
Yes there are bears around Kelowna. It's not a 'notorious' bear viewing area, but bears do get attracted to residential areas by poor garbage management! The Rockies are close by and lots of state parks where there is a chance to see bears in their natural environment (rather than eating out of a bin!) It's a beautiful part of Canada and you'd have a wonderful time spotting lots wildlife we don't have here. Hope you get to go sometime
