Those are amazing pictures PPH. I'm not sure if it looks as if she lost a piece of her trunk or not but the last pic of the baby almost sitting on the croc looks dangerous. So glad they are both ok, I just hope she has her trunk intact.

i thought the same about her trunk, if it survived i'm sure the crocodile will think twice abou tackling an elephant next time

Lets hope the croc does think twice next time, or more importantly, lets hope there isn't a next time.
I am truely hoping her trunk is ok as it would be very difficult if she lost the end of her trunk, it is so important for rumaging, feeding and drinking and if anything happened to her there is her calf to think about, so i'm trying to think all is ok.

good news, ive been checking the internet and they were both seen later on in the park no worse for their ordeal and feeding happily

PPH thank you so much for that info I am so relieved to know they were both ok, especially the mum after her ordeal, that really is such good news, it has been praying on my mind ever since I saw your post, I was trying to think positively but now I can relax......Thanks alot
