As it was Mrs S's last day off before going back to work, we decided to visit the cafe at our local RSPB Reserve at the Conway (Conwy in Welsh) Estuary. Its a lovely place. The Cafe is situated at the side of the Estuary, with a man made lake outside which you can view through big windows, and they even have a Scope you can use to look at the wildlife. Unfortunatly it was quiet when we were there, for Scones, and Coffee, apart from a Curlew that was pottering around, but not close enough for a Photo.
This is the view on the way into the Reserve, the Estuary is on the right, and believe it or not when the tide's out there is no water left in it at all

What a magical way to spend the day WS, it's absolutaley gorgeous there, the views are stunning. Wales has some really wonderful places and that surely is one of them, i'd love to be sitting there having scones and coffee and taking in all those beautiful views, birds or no birds it has a really relaxing feel about it. Glad you and Mrs S had a wonderful day.

I take it you know the area PPH we live between Abergele, and Colwyn Bay up in the hills. We are exiles from England, and have been here since 1991. It really is a beautiful area, and even after 20yrs we still think we are on holiday

I do know the area as I was brought up in the area around Llangollen but one of my aunts lives in Abergele and another one in Colwyn Bay. Spent lots of holidays around the area growing up and never tire of it.

The love of a good man brought be down to the shires but he loves it too and I do go home quite often. I have even brought a few of my English friends up there and they think its lovely.

Where I live in Oxfordshire is pretty but doesn't compare to the rugged beauty of that part of the country
