As Lai said, great to see she is still alive. Miracles do happen and think she will be a mum one day.

Fantastic to hear LL is doing so well and settled with her males - her time to become a mum will come one day

Re: Lady Liuwa Update
for this WS, good to hear of LL again and that she is well
Great they are trying to introduce more lioness's to the area, they certainly need to. Sounds like a very 'long term' project to get lion numbers increased but they are going about it the right way and I hope they are successful.

Re: Lady Liuwa Update
That's good news WS, now hopefully they'll get along fine with the others and join the pride. Let's hope that in the future we'll finally get news of cubs in Liuwa! Too bad Lady is not able to have cubs, she's a beauty!

Thanks WS, that's great news.
Here's hoping all the lioness's get on together and that the new ladies will produce some cubs in the future.

Thats great, forming a new pride with Lady. Pity about no cubs, but thats nature for you. It can be beautiful and cruel at the same time.
Thanks for that WS.

For some reason I really like these pics of her from Nat Geo. Can't pick a favorite.
She just looks so powerful like RED!

They are great Ronnie, and your right she really does remind you of Red. Two fantastic Lioness's. Thanks for sharing

Great find Ronnie, it would be really brilliant if a pride was formed after all this time

Yes that is a great find, Ronnie
Great to hear that all the lions are doing well but unfortunately, as yet, no lion pride. It's early days though so hopefully, in time, we'll be reading a different story, fingers crossed

Thanks Ronnie. An interesting update and it's great news that Lady is no longer the last lioness.
Fingers crossed they form a pride soon, and then some cubs ...

Thanks Doogs although as you say sad news about one of the Lioness's, but at least they managed to recover the other one

Re: Lady Liuwa Update
Saw this on FB. Terrible news. I had thought the area was so remote that this would never be an issue. Hopefully the authorities now know they have problems and will step up patrols in the area. If something were to happen to Lady it would be devastating considering what she has already endured.

Re: Lady Liuwa Update
Thanks Doogs, it's lovely to know that the Lady is still going strong, and has made a new friend even if its another female. At least she's got company which is a vast improvement from a few years ago
