This is for anyone to answer but probably more specifically Chui given he is in Nairobi.

We are heading back to Kenya for the 4th time in September and I would like to know your thoughts / views on Nairobi National Park ?

What's good / bad about it ? Having just come from being on Safari is it worth a visit - i.e. would it be a huge let down after being in Samburu, the Mara etc etc ?

Anyone else on here been before ?

Thanks in advance, Doogs Nairobi National Park 71418

Hi Doogs,

NNP is nice though dont expect too much as the real stuff is in Samburu and off course nothing to beat MARA. There is a nice new tentede camp inside the park now so maybe you all can leave the3 city hotels and stay there next time. Its a nice and small place going by the name Nairobi Tented Camp http://www.nairobitentedcamp.com/

There isnt that much wildlife in the park but i usually go for picnics - they have some nice sights. You can go see Miujiza at the orphanage and go on the safari walk where you will see caged wild animals.

Park Fees to enter NNP are US$ 40.00 per person and there are separqate charges to enter the orphanage and the safari walk.

Hope this helps - id go for it if you have a few hours to spare.

Chui, many Thanks for replying, your info has certainly helped me and we may take a visit when we are in Nairobi depending on how much spare time we have cheers

Great pictures, love them Cool Lioness looked as though she might be pregnant :?: :?:

Loving Nairobi Tented Camp and it's certainly something I'd consider for future stays in the city :)

Embarassed Sorry Doogs - I never got back to you on this, but Chui's said it all as I've only been to see Muijiza and never had enough time to visit the park.

The tented camp looks like a great place to stay in Nairobi - definitely one for a future visit.
