I was out of the patrol van so i didn't get to see or hear the final wicket but i could tell by the glum faces and the fact the tele had been turned off that we had won....

am thrilled for English cricket!!! the barmy army were brilliant too!!

To true Sport Give em some stick As you say the Barmy Army were fantastic, and Geoff Boycot was really giving it to them on the Radio. I stayed up till the end listening to it. Then did a lap of the house with a can of Boddys. Got to take Mrs S shopping today to make up for it, but it's worth it

Looks like we've got them on the run again Minty. Another great innings by Cook, it was great to see the score this morning, when I went to bed about 1-20am here, he'd just got his ton, but was having an edgy spell, I did'nt think he would make a big score, and Collingwood had just got out. So it was good to see the score this morning.
Footy wise your Birmingham won last night, and that takes them out of the bottom three, my team Man U won as well, and top the table by three points with games in hand

Nearly 12-00am here Minty stopped for rain at the moment . I would buy Mrs S some Chocs, but it's that New Year thing. You know Xmas, and Turky, Christmas Pudd, all that extra food and extra wieght. So it's New Year resolution time, must lose wieght. So to help Mrs S I made one, not to buy her Chocs, and I never break my resolutions, no matter how much I want to .
I just love it when a plan comes together

Didn't watch all of the tennis but disappointed he got beat in 3 straight sets Well done to Djokovic who deserved to win.

Watched some of the match - it was over a lot quicker than I had thought it would be. Djokovic thoroughly deserved to win. Andy Murray needs to control his temper and channel his energy more positively.
