Kalahari Meerkats Web Cam

Got some pics this morning. Unfortunatly they were having tech probs with the cam, and the audio. You could'nt hear the commentary, it kept braking up, and the picture kept freezing. The plus to that was at least they were still when trying to take a pic

Great photos WS - they are wonderful to see. Just checked in and as you say tech problems with the sound but seems to be okay just now, well on and off and also the pic quality.

Lots of forage marks and a couple of meerkats at the moment.

Those are smashing pictures WS and they so remind me of Meerkat Manor If I could have seen the cam today I would have been snapping away as well, I really love those.

Great shot of Gandolph Lai, I missed him in his tree the other day, he reminds me of Zaphod from Meerkat Manor, he was always on lookout

THe crew is finalising an upgrade to the rig that we wxpect will improve the video quality. It will mean they will be going out a bit later today.

Will try and check the cam later.

The vehicle has been in one place for quite some time now. With no news, they must be still searching for the Meerkats

Brilliant they have upgraded the cam, it looks much clearer and it's needed for these speedy little things, plus they blend in so well with the terain. Being at work you miss this cam, so roll on the weekend when I can get to see them again.

Brilliant picture Doogs they are very active at the moment, they have been playing round the burrow and they are now on the move all over the place but having great fun.

lovely shots Littlewid. I've not had time to watch this cam today, so it's lovely to see them. They look so funny splayed out on the sand cooling down in the shade.

Thats a brilliant pic Doogs . We must have been watching at the same time LW. I had a quick look in, and got virtualy the same shots

It was lovely watching the youngsters play, the one above on the bank just looked as though it was sunbathing
Then they really started to play around with each other



This was the first time I could hear the commentary as well, and there were no break ups of the streaming which was good

Yep looks like we were watching at the same time WS, it was really great viewing, they were very lively weren't they and I loved the way they were leaping on each other at times and just generally having fun.
I was trying to do my washing, cook my tea and email channel 4 at the same time, I was flippin' about all over the place but I was determined to catch up with them.
Looking forward to catching up with them again tomorrow, hopefully you will get time to look in on them Lai.

On the cam just now, sound not very brilliant but they are on the move and you can just about make out Gandulf on his lookout post (top left on the tree branch)

apparently he has been there for ages, watching a giraffe

Gandulf is such a star isn't he, he looks so tiny up in that tree. My pc is playing about at the moment so can't get on the cams, will try again later, I need a daily fix of these Meerkats

I've just checked in on this one Lai and it says it's streaming but there is no pic or sound, so maybe they are having problems, I will try and check again in a little while.

That's a shame, thanks for checking. I really love this cam and tend to leave it on in the background when I'm in my office ................ actually I watch it for ages!

I love it too Lai, it's such a lovely one......probably because it's full of Meerkats Just had another look and it popped up for a second but went off again, so maybe it's a signal fault.

Just checked again Guys, but its still not on, could have finished now anyway, but I did notice on chat that they said a couple of hours ago, it was in a bad signal area, then came back on. So it might have been then you were watching it
