A sad and very distressing read. It's a long article but well worth the read. I had no idea that Xiang Xiang had been found dead after 10 months in the wild, such a tragic waste and no doubt a horrendous experience.

Releasing captive-bred pandas into the wild is ‘neither currently viable nor ethical.’

That one sentence really brought it all home to me.

I read this in the Sunday Mail supplement. It's disgusting but what do you expect from China.
