I managed to get a few shots of some Greater Black Backed Gulls that are on our coastline at the moment. We usualy see them in Autumn. I saw a couple a few weeks ago, but did'nt have my Camera. The shots are at maximum zoom, and some through the windscreen as it was raining, so not as clear as I'd like. They are the largest Gull in the worls, measuring 28–31 ins long, and with a wing span of 5–5.7 ft.

The difference in size really shows up in flight

I think this last one gives a better impression of the size, and power of the wings

They do have a powerful wing span don't they WS. I remember you saying you had seen them before so i'm glad you managed to get some good shots of them. I love them all sitting on the wind breaks, great pics WS on a rainy day. cheers
