Lily & Maddison
Very touching story of two Great Danes looking for a home together. I know this was in quite a few papers at the weekend and GMTV this morning so hopefully it won't be too long until they find a new home, bless

Re: Lily & Maddison
and what an amazing story, honestly I would consider taking them but Tamu would be a nightmare and not sure how Penny would re-act. If we had no dogs I would definitely take the pair, they deserve to find a wonderful home together, so fingers crossed someone steps in soon.
Thanks for the link Doogs

Re: Lily & Maddison
That really is so very sad Doogs. I am sure there are lots of people who would love to have them if they had the room. They would swamp my house but different circumastances and I would not hesitate. They both deserve to find a truely loving home and I really hope they do. The story makes you want to cry but you look at those lovely girls and they just make you smile. Hopefully someone will smile on them both soon.

I'm sure there are plenty of others out there like you both but hopefully there are a few that have big back gardens are able to take the girls, here's hoping. I hope as well there will be something in the paper when they do find their forever home :)

Re: Lily & Maddison
I told some friends of mine about Lily and Madison as they've had a Great Dane before, they called the Dogs Trust and were told they had found a home for them, but I can't find any information on their website.
Fingers crossed it is true and they weren't just inundated with too many calls.

Re: Lily & Maddison
Well done you for asking your friends Lai Pai and brilliant they wanted to give them both a home. As you say, fingers crossed they really have found them a home and not just had loads of enquiries for them. Maybe we can keep an eye on their site to see if they do post they have been rehomed.
Again, brilliant that you and your friends tried all of you.

Re: Lily & Maddison
That is such great news Lai Pai. It sounds as if tey are now going to have a wonderful life and no more than they both deserve.
On the initial post about them there was a message from one of the readers that said she knew the dogs and the owner, and apparantly the owner had moved to cyprus I think it was with her millionaire boyfriend who has a huge place and grounds and just left the dogs with the Dogs Trust saying she could'nt look after them any longer. Never to sure if some readers comments are true but what a thing to do if it is true, and if so, the dogs are obviously better off now.

Re: Lily & Maddison
What a great ending. We saw this in the Mail, and like others of you would have loved to home them, as LW says if the circumstances were right. Great that you asked your friends LP, but it really is happy news that they have now found a careing home

Re: Lily & Maddison
I did think the girls would find a great home and great that LP has confirmed it with that link, brilliant.
How wonderful they had over 2,000 enquiries about rehoming them, there are some wonderful people out there.
Here's to a long and happy life for the girls
