Help to identify Garden Bird Empty Help to identify Garden Bird

We have had a bird starting to arrive in our garden, but I have not seen one before.

It is exactly the body size and colour of a sparrow, except it has a bright yellow head. I have looked at yellowhammer pictures and it is not quite right.

Have any of you any other suggests as to what it might be.

I've found the RSPB bird identifier can sometimes help or narrow down the possibilities

Checked one of my Books, still got three to look at, but i ca'nt find a little brown job with a yellow head. Looked at the RSPB idenitfier, which I've used before, and is well worth you checking, but no joy there. It would help if you see it again to look at beak shape, and colour, also leg colour, that might well help
