scratch Do'nt know why you cant get on LW, but a couple of suggestions. Try the link on the photo on the main page, if that does'nt work, click the second smaller photo for Tumbos FB page, and the petition link's on there as well try that

Thanks WS but sadly none of those worked. I rebooted up my desk top and ran a virus checker as I hadn't used it for ages and woohoo it worked from my desk top, so I have now signed the petition and posted it to my FB as well.

I am not sure why it wont work on my notebook as it always has before but I am now not going to waste energy worrying about it as its now all done bounce

Got this in an email today re Tumbo :-

"On Oct 8, 2012, you signed the petition, Tumbo Petition 2 - The Disabled Cheetah Cub of Kenya - Cee4life. The petition author, Cee4life, has now closed the petition and sent this message to all its signers:

Thankyou for signing the petition for Tumbo the disabled cheetah cub.

Unfortunetly, Tumbo will remain inside the Nairobi Orphanage at this point, there is nothing that can be done at the moment.

Although he was diagnosed in August 2012 by his Veterinary Surgeon who prescribed an urgent operation, the Nairobi Orphanage Veterinarian tasked to examine Tumbo seems to have now have a new diagnosis which he has said can be fixed with vitamins.... the same vitamins that Tumbo has been on since birth....

We will keep watching over Tumbo and continue to do what we can. Thankyou so much for helping be his voice".

Cee4life - Conservation and Environmental Education 4 Life - www.cee4life.org

Not very encouraging news I'm afraid. Vitamins will help him 3 Cheetah Cubs - Page 5 615959 No Crying or Very sad

I had the same email and it drives you nuts doesn't it. I cant remember what the original vet said was the problem with Tumbo but I dont recall it being related to a vitamin deficiency. There are obviously conditions that are related to vitamin Deficiency, I remember a Lion cub at Chester zoo called Tejas that had a vitamin Deficiency and one of his front ankle joints was affected and he was placed in a rigid boot and given vitamins and it did correct itself. I know Tumbo hasnt been in casts but he has been on vitamins and nothing has changed, so it's obviously not something like a vitamin D deficiency, to me it sounds like a cover up for not letting him go and have the correct treatment.
Big shame on the KWS for letting this chap suffer, it breaks your heart doesnt it and for him to be in constnt pain is just so very cruel.

I remember Tejas as well LW, he was featured on the TV programme about Chester Zoo and it was great he made a full recovery.

We can only hope something changes for the better in the future for Tumbo Crying or Very sad

Tejas was a real star wasnt he Doogs and such a cutie and he grew into a lovely fellow and then went off to france to continue the line of the Asiatic Lion, he would be about 4 yrs old now.

I wish Tumbo could be as lucky as Tejas.
