What a courages Mother LW, and what dedication she showed in saving her Foal. To know she was dying, and knowing she had to get her Foal to safety, is amazing. I do'nt think we give animals enough credit for the intelligence they have often enough.
Thanks for the story LW

A wonderful story LW It really shows that no matter what the species there is no bond stronger than that of a mother for her young. So happy for Queenie.

Oh my goodness now that has made me Crying or Very sad

What a wonderful mum getting little Queenie to someone who would love and take care of her just as she had done, she was a very special mare doing that Like a Star @ heaven

Good to hear Queenie has her own little paddock with a friend close by, I hope she lives a long & happy life

Remarkable. The courage of mum going through her illness and struggle to get her baby to safety before she let go of life. Heart goes out to her.

RIP Horse your baby is well cared for.
