Sunrise and sunset
I thought that as the weather is so miserable at the moment I would post some "warming" pics of African sunrises and sunsets. These were taken during visits to Meru National Park, Kenya. Being on the equator the is hardly any variation in the timing of the rising or setting of the sun also you notice the amazing speed at which the sun appears to come up. The first two pics were taken 61 seconds apart. The sunrises are the most dramatic as the appears above a vast flat open plain with only the odd Doum Palm tree to break-up the vista.

Re: Sunrise and sunset
Well those have really warmed me up Safariman. I really would love to be there, and see the Sunrises, and Sunsets as much as the animals. My favourite of those is Pic No 5, its as though you can almost touch it. Brillaint thanks for sharing them with us

Re: Sunrise and sunset
Well we have a very windy and chilly Sunday here today, so those gorgeous pictures really have warmed up my day no end. They are stunning pictures of Sun Rises and Sun sets Safariman and they just emit Africa and for those that have never been, it's just what you imagine an African sun rise/set to be. My favourite has to be the one of the Baboons in the tree waiting to be warmed up but I must admit they are all equally stunning and give a feeling of a warm glow. Thanks for sharing those safariman, my Sunday feels a whole lot warmer.

Saw this photo on Paul Kirui's FB Page and thought it would be a worthy addition to this thread . . .
