Thanks SM - another useful tip. I use exposure compensation early in the morning and later in the day and as he says, you've got to remember to return to 0 afterwards!

Thats a great tip SM. I do have a sunset/sunrise mode on my camera, but I'm going to try to do it as the tip suggests, and see the difference.

We had a Sunset tonight, but it was changing that fast I did'nt have time to look at the tip again, so I used the Sunset setting on my Camera.

WS that is a really dramatic sunset, unbelievably gorgeous 
you must be really proud of those shots, they are brilliant. I don't think i've seen such a dramatic sunset like that before.

My mum painted me a collection of 6 sunsets in oils, ranging from peach to bright pinks and violet. Some people thought they looked strange but if you put them against your fantastic photos WS you can see they are just right.
