The Chinese just contradict themselves in so many ways when it comes to animals. How can they kill, eat so many animals and have a total disregard to them yet some are prepared to pay half a million pounds for a pet, I just don't get them scratch

It's terrible though that they are willing to travel to the Himalayan plateau to collect their puppies taking the risk of them being unable to adjust to the low altitudes and dying during the journey Crying or Very sad

It doesn't surprise me Doogs at all. Before I read the article I said to myself, well its because its a status symbol and thats the only reason they have them not because they care for them and I was proved right by the article. As it was with the article the other week when one of the dogs died having a face lift to make it look more attractive, I saw that story and it really angered me, why get a face lift done on a dog thats supposed to look that way, again it was a status symbol and the poor dog suffered and died.
So no, the Chinese do not surprise me, they just madden me.
