Signed, and shared Lai. This has all the hall marks of another political decision, proberbly from pressure from commercial shoots. We have Buzzards a plenty here in North Wales, and Pheasant a plenty to. The Buzzard population like any other predator is controlled by the availability of food. It's natures way of balancing things, so if there are a lot of Buzzards it means there is a lot of prey. The only downside is to the shoots not to nature

Just posted about Buzzards on our Springwatch link. That although there's been Buzzards on the show there's been no mention of this. In the 70's they were virtualy extinct, now they have recovered to spread into parts of England, and are doing well. They want to start killing them off again. When will they learn Mad Mad Mad

Going for a read now WS but I am surprised too, there is no mention at all which surprises me as the badger cull is getting so much publicity. Let's hope this isn't something that gets missed.
