Bank Holiday Pics
Another busy bank holiday visiting National Trust properties. I need your help on a few things what I saw. The first one is a feather I found which is stripey on one side and a nice yellow/green on another (50p for scale) my best guess is maybe a woodpecker
Secondly a hole in the ground near some trees which had straw outside. The straw was a bit stinky like a toilet

Re: Bank Holiday Pics
Sorry I cant be of much help with your identifications PPH, do you have any ideas about what animal may have been around those twigs etc?
Your photos are really nice, some lovely gardens at the Boarstall Tower and apart from the wildlife at Attingham I really liked those wood carvings, are they from trunks of trees? They are so well done and it looked as though you had a really good couple of visits and thanks for sharing your pictures, I enjoyed looking at them and sorry. To leave it fairly late but I was off when you posted them and im still trying to catch up.
