Banned for 15 years and just over £500 costs. She should have been banned from keeping any animal for life. For her lawyer to say she had swollen ankles and a bad hip as the reason the cats were kept in this disgusting state is just ludicrous, doesn't say much for him as a lawyer. Hopefully all these lovely cats will recover and be able to find new loving homes. The state they were kept in truly is despicable.

There is absolutely no excuse for the disgusting way those poor cats were kept and what rubbish she was feeding them on. Why do people have animals if they can't cope with them? I am  Evil or Very Mad   Twisted Evil  and think the ban for 10 years is not enough. Let's hope the damage to those cats is not so bad that mentally they can't cope and that they find caring loving forever homes soon.

That's awful and the excuse of ankles, and hip is no excuse at all she could have got someone to help. Bans are one thing wether it be 10,15 yrs, or for life is one thing enforcing them is another. As I've said before as far I can find out there's nothing in place to check if those banned are complying with the ban. If they move no one knows they are banned, and there's nothing to stop them keeping animals again.

That is so true WS, how can it be policed unless a generic notice goes out to all vets in that area but then again you would have to rely on the banned person taking their new animal to the vets and I doubt if that would happen otherwise they would not have been banned in the first place. Maybe the RSCPA need asking.
