I'm not sure TB but without a word of a lie, I have one of those in my shed, I will take a pic and show you tomorrow, I haven't discovered what lives in it yet.....will get back to you.....how weird you posted this as a quiz.....good one though

Good question - my first guess would have been a wasps nest, but i could be wrong.

Theres more than one type of wasp LW, and most of them dont sting, it just seems to me to be that type of a nest. Looks like we will have to wait for TB to sovle the mystery.

Yes but TB are those eggs in there that will hatch into more and do I have to leave that nest there......its spooky

Thanks WS...dont freak me out with loads of possibilities, its bad enough thinking its a wasp with eggs, I need to know if I can get rid of it whatever it is....gives me the shivvers.

It's in the blueberry family.............Billberry,also known as Blaeberry in Scotland or Whimberry in the Lake District.Very low to the ground,a staple part of food for the Grouse family.Find these and try one or two,much stronger taste than the cultivated Blueberry.
Can I suggest would be forragers get a good book to take with them,just so you don't poison yourselves.I use "Food for free" by Richard Mabey,there's a nice little pocket sized version from Collins gem.
