Great update. Hope the little Lin Cub with Notch gets over the limp it has, as they say not good at that age. Good to hear Bahati is still around, and it wont be long before she should be starting a family of her own, and I really hope Binti is off somewhere safe, and nothings happened to her. Never heard of the 4KM Males before is that a new Pride name ?. Is it really a year since the Marsh Pride takeover thats gone quick, its great that some of our old familiar Lioness's are still around, and that everything now seems to have settled down with the pride now
Thanks for the nudge Doogs

It's a year past since we lost poor Clawed and Romeo where has the time gone
WS - the 4KM males are the Male lions who took over the Mugoro Pride late 2010

Thanks Doogs great final update. Whats a Roof Tent ?. What ever it is I think I'd only stay in it, if it had brick walls, by the sounds of it .
I hope those Girls get to bring up the Cubs, does'nt sound good with the Males away so long.

Another update from Sarah and Andy :- http://adventuresinalandrover.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/life-and-death-on-plains.html
Really sad news about Malaika and her cubs but thank goodness she and at least one are ok. It will now get her full and undivided attention so here's hoping it can be brought up successfully.
It hasn't been a good week for the Cheetahs in the Mara with a mother (called Nalepo) and one of her older cubs being killed last week again by lions. That left two young cubs with no mother. I know one of the guides out there (Dickson Olkisonkoi) sought help on what to do with the two young cubs that were left as they were too young to be left to their own devices. My FB is playing up at my work just now so I can't see if there is any news about the cubs

Re: Wild Adventures
So lovely to catch up with Sarah and Andy again. I had heard about Malaika and her cubs on FB, it was very sad as was the news about Nalepo and her cub. Not good news that her remaining 2 cubs have ended up possibly in Nairobi, that is not comforting at all, maybe that report will be proved wrong but somehow I doubt it.

Re: Wild Adventures
Oh dear that really is just so sad, they will lead a life of complete and utter boredom in small runs being stared at by people - not a life for such a beautiful creature as a cheetah.

Re: Wild Adventures
Thats terrible as we all know what they can look forward to now nothing, its way past time that KWS had a proper releas programe for orphens like this. They will never be able to contribute to increasing the numner of their species, and I'm sad to say they would have been better of being killed along with the others

As heartbreaking as that would have been for them I have to agree with you WS
