Re: Goveners Camp Masai Mara
Thanks Doogs. What a great update, I love all the detail they give. Funny thing about the aardvark, we were in the Mara and heard the story that evening - the rangers returned it to a hole as it shouldn't have been out in the daytime, several people in camp had seen it that day, so fingers crossed it survived.
We were so lucky to see an aardvark for the first time ever, at night whilst at Sarara, Daniel our guide said he hadn't seen one for 7 years - such funny looking animals

Fantastic read as ever, and how exciting that they've seen 2 black rhino on Paradise plains - i've never seen black rhino in the Mara.

Re: Goveners Camp Masai Mara
We're barely seen a Rhino - white or black !!! We saw one late in the afternoon this year but he was in the bushes and the light was bad so we didn't get any decent photos !

Goes to show that the stories about the poaching are all true no rhino in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia - tragic really.

It is tragic horrible!!
We didn't see a rhino either, there were reported sightings and we went and waited and looked from a distance but they didn't appear.
Off for a read!!

Re: Goveners Camp Masai Mara
Thanks Doogs great read, and update on some of our favourites. At least there's some Cheetah news, and the Leopards all seem to be doing well. Thats the first I've heard of the 4 Males being related to Notch. The situation with Rhino, is dire throughout Africa as we know, so it's good news to hear of the two Black Rhino.

A fantastic update, they really do keep us informed and it's lovely to catch up on all the wildlife as well as the big cats. It's great to know there have been sightings of Black Rhino.
Thanks for the link Doogs.
