Wildcam Africa - Pete's Pond

Took this one last night, it was roosting in the bushes at the side of the hide. Not sure what make or model it is

Quite few came up with the answer on PP's FB Page. It's a Green Back Heron, and according to the chat there has been one around the Pond

There are a few different types of Greenbacked Herons some are called styrated.
A couple of quick clips from tonight at the pond
A really graceful Giraffe having a nightime drink

Then a small group of Zebra did the same thing

Two lovely clips WS and they were so clear as well. The Giraffe was being very cautious wasn't he but how stunning was he to look at and I loved the Zebra but something scared them off in the end at quite a flurry.

Really lovely night at the Pond. A herd of Elles came in for a drink, with little ones

Love is in the air Guys. Mork the Stork, has found his Mindy, and now joins Bonnie & Clyde as the love birds of Petes Pond

They left the Pond for a little private time

Fab video of the eles WS and great to see the little ones as well, they were all so relaxed having a nightime drink at the pond

How lovely that Mork the Stork has found his Mindy there must be something in the water with all this loving going on at Petes Pond Great video of them both slipping off for a little quiet time

don't you know us pesky get every where WS now even Petes or is it's WS's pond isn't safe from us
