the phrase be careful what you wish for is quite apt at the moment, I did get my day off only because I slipped and feel on my bottom and my back hurts. lots of painkillers, hot water bottle and snuggle on the sofa watching the birds

I booked tomorrow off work last week so I could finish off christmas jobs so at least I have an extra day if my back still hurts

Ouch poor you PPH - i hope you'll be okay after a day of relaxing with a hottie and some pain killers. Take it easy and enjoy the birds.

I just slipped on the snow on a slight bank going to hang the coconuts in the apple tree for the birds, but its soft snow and i landed on my bum so no damage done. The dogs thought it was a game Laughing

Fingers crossed you'll feel better later PPH

Blimey WS that is some snow you are having.

I hope you girls are ok after your falls, i think it's the shock of falling, you know as you get older it seems to hurt more.

We are having loads of rain over here, but it has stopped for the moment and i was able to mow the lawns this morning without the mower getting bogged, bad thing though is that with all the rain the mosquito's are breeding and i am being bitten to bits Sad

I'm having a day of rest in bed with a hot water bottle, I was a bit sad because I can't see my feeder from my bedroom window, but as I live on in a ground floor flat and my bedroom is next to my living room I may not be able to see my feeder but I can see the hedge outside my window,

I have a feeling that the birds know that I am in the bedroom as they seem to be landing on the hedge outside my bedroom window for a rest before flying to the feeder. So far Ive seen both of the robins, tree sparrow, dunnock (hedge sparrow), great tit, male and female blackbird

So I'm happy

Glad to hear you're okay PPH - a day resting with a hot water bottle sounds like a good idea, and even better that you can see the birds on the hedge.

Hope you'll be better tomorrow.

Oooo I bet you are feeling a little sore today PPH but hopefully after some rest you will be ok. Nice that the birds came and rested on the hedge and you got to see them, even though you couldn't see them feeding. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Hope your feeling a bit better PPH, it's always a couple of days after you really start to feel the effects of a fall. Keep taking the tablets.
I hate Mossies. Mossies love me affraid Minty. I used to get bit all the time, and I'm allergic to them. I even ended up in Hospital here, but a few years ago a chemist friend of mine told me to start taking Vitamin B it took a couple of months to get into my system, but it worked I rarely get bit now, and the effect is not as bad.
