Oooo this is getting exciting and did that Osprey drop the fish and then catch it again or was that my eyes playing tricks?

Re: Osprey live cam - Rutland Water
Thanks Lai for the update, and photo. My connection went up the wall this morning, just after I'd done the W E photos. I could'nt get on any of the cams. I saw a BT engineer up the road later working on one of the junction Boxs, and it seems ok now so perhaps that was it

I dont know Lai, but was in just when I checked

That's the only problem with Mwsnap - a bit of a delay! But good timing on your part WS.
Great to see the male there looking after her.

Whilst I was messing around with checking the cams that now do and dont work on my laptop and pc the male flew in and fed her this morning, but i didnt have the time to get a photo. At least we know he's looking after her.
Thanks for checking WS

Thank you for the updates WS - that really is tragic news. Not something I can comprehend, the shooting of birds of prey.

Re: Osprey live cam - Rutland Water
This is awful news. Do adults stay away from a nest that long for any other reason? Is it natural for mating adult to abandon the nest? Logic tells me no, but then I think of Lily abandoning Hope and how that turned out.
