Re: Todays Smile
A smile for Friday - for a change some of the other wildlife you see in Africa, Topi.

Re: Todays Smile
Great Smile Lai thanks. That male Topi looks as though he's doing dressage, and the two Male Lions look bewildered, its as though they are saying we've got no chance of catching them

Re: Todays Smile
brilliant find for Saturday WS - I love the baby's face once the dog starts like it can't believe anything can make so much noise - certainly a different way of stopping the baby from crying

Well I didn't get very far with that smile WS.....as soon as the dog started howling it set Nero off into a huge howl so I had to stop it pronto......he was not a happy dog.....it was making me smile but Nero was in a little pickle ......I will have to watch it when he is in the garden

Re: Todays Smile
Thanks WS - that was lovely to see a clip from Meerkat Manor. I used to love watching it when it was on tv. What a great time they must have had filming and getting to know all the clan.

Re: Todays Smile
Thanks for all the clips, just catching up.
Loved the Topi 'prancing' about, reminded me on a Stag during rutting. They are very beautiful animals when you see them up close. Don't think they are caught very often by the 'cats' as they are so nimble on their feet.
That's certainly a good way to get a baby to stop crying
Meerkats and baby Ele's - so very different but both soo very cute

Re: Todays Smile
I bet that weighed the poor turtle down! Thanks WS, it made me think just how many people must have been watching the turtles and sea lions with all the people laughing in the background - poor things

Re: Todays Smile
That was just majical Lai. What a wonderful way to view the wildlife of Africa. I would love to take a ballon trip like that. Fantastic to see the Wildebeast herds, the Hippos, and all the other Animals. My heart was in my mouth watching the Impala crossing the river, glad to say the old Crocs did'nt get any. It may be a bit longer, but it's 6 Mins of beauty, and well worth watching
A BIG THANKS LAI

Thanks Lai. That brings back fantastic memories of our honeymoon. We had a dawn balloon ride with champagne breakfast and must say it was the most serene thing I have ever done, even with a full basket of stranger. If you have done the same you will know what I mean.

Re: Todays Smile
Fantastic clip Lai, thanks
We've always toyed with the idea of a Hot Air Balloon trip but all came to an agreement that although we'd love to do it we'd not give up a morning's game drive for it. Maybe one day if we're there for longer we might do it
Also glad to see the Impala getting away from the Crocs If you're lucky enough to see a crossing you virtually spend your whole time hoping the zebra, wildies etc get across safely. I know the Crocs have got to eat as well but I'd rather see the four legged variety survive !!

Re: Todays Smile
Doogs as SM says it's well worth doing, up at dawn and then a champagne breakfast in the middle of the savannah, very surreal and magical. We did it in Dec 08 and really enjoyed it.
