An interesting read - I do hope India don't go ahead with their proposed plan, it seems madness.

Great news that Iran is trying to conserve these cheetahs - sad to read there are so few remaining.

Thanks WS

good piece of info :)

yes sadly Asiatic cheetah is extinct in India....and i feel it is a good idea to reintroduce them again.but we will have to make sure they are taken care of,while letting them live free in wild, still keeping them safe from poachers..i would really love to see them again in indian forests

Your right there Radhu it would take careful thought, and planning to make it a success, and the threat of poachers is a major problem, as we know with the Tigers

yes WS,poachers would remain the greatest problem for the reindtroduction, but still it is not impossible...the tiger conservation have been a success as far as i know...hope for a similar one here:)
