Early morning for Phoebe at the moment, initially she was off the nest
Hummingbird cam - Phoebe - Page 6 Mwsna159
maybe she had gone for breakfast, then just as always, back she flew

Good pics LW thanks. Just a bit of info. The hatching date is due to be around the 8th to 9th of May. Mrs P the host has placed CDs that are reflecting light around the nest area to put the Crows off

Sad I can't bear it, poor little Phoebe, it's happened again and I guess the crow will keep on and on now that it knows where her nest is.

Thanks for the candle link WS - I've lit a candle for Phoebe.

That is devastating WS, poor Phoebe, how must she be feeling and Mr & Mrs P tried so hard to protect her and the eggs this time. Lai is right now the crow knows where to come I fear for any more eggs Phoebe may lay. At the worst it may even scare Phoebe out of the garden, this is not a good day.

I too have lit a candle for Phoebe and as you can put it from a group I put mine from WAA. There are over 500 pages of candles for Phoebe, I manged to see Lai's candle and it's lovely to know Phoebe has so many thinking of her and it's a lovely idea.

That's a good point Littlewid, I think the candles only stay lit for 24 hours.

It doesn't look like Phoebe has been seen today which seems a shame but also sensible on Phoebes part, it could be too dangerous for her. The cam is up and running but it is sad to see an empty nest so decided not to post any pictures, I will check in again later and see if there is any news but I also know WS is keeping an eye on the chat there.

Yes the candles only stay lit for 24hrs Lai, not sure if you can light another one once your candle has gone out.

Doesn't look like there has been any sightings of Phoebe today but WS may be able to find out more later as he joins in the chat.

Can't see your candle today Lai or mine, so they must have gone out.
