Office Window Views
Just to show its not all sea, and sand from the office window. It's Animals views this week.
First some Lambs who I think are eating to much for their own good
Chubby little fellows arent they
Then from Lambs to Highland Cattle, and their Calves
Everyone say Ahaaaaaa
Here's another little Guy
I could'nt resist putting this close up on
Next it was an Elephant free, and wild, but I'll have to post them, a bit later

AAaawwwwwwww they are gorgeous WS, those calfs are sooooo adorable, I love them both , i've just really melted looking at them.
The sheep are very chubby but beautiful......isn't there a breed of sheep that is chubbier compared to some? i'm sure it was mentioned in Lambing Live or was it on the programme The Dales not sure which but i'm sure there is.
Looking forward to the rest of the pics

Re: Office Window Views
OK now for the Elephant. You would'nt think you would see an Elephant in North Wales unless it was in a Zoo, but here's one
Look at the end of the Rock, you can see the Head, the trunk, and the ear.
This is a closer look
The Rock is called the Little Orme, at Llandudno, opposite it on the other side of the Bay is the Great Orme, and there's a Crocodile there, but it's difficult to photograph because of the traffic, but I'll get it one day

Re: Office Window Views
What great photos WS - love those Highland cattle calves, they are just adorable. You are right about the lambs, the ones by our field are really chubby now and very mischievious, they are a mixed breed and plenty are black but not like our black welsh sheep that we have for keeping the grass down (in other words pets )
The ele rock is a great landmark, what a stunning view.
Looking forward to more photos from the office (a bit like Jackson)

Re: Office Window Views
Its amazing, I've known people who have visited Llandudno for years, and even people who live here. Who have never noticed the Elephant, and the Crocodile.
It has'nt changed much PPH, but there is a new shopping area called Parc Llandudno in the town itself, with shops like Debenhams, Next, and others all for women. Nothing for Men, but there is a Pub close by that runs a creche, for Husbands, and Boyfriends where you can leave them in safety, and do as much shopping as you like. They seem quite happy there.

Re: Office Window Views
a pub creche sounds like a good idea for me as my partner can shop more than I can. At the moment he is dragging me round all the shops looking for a some shorts for the summer we might get.
the way he shops is really weird (or so I think) first he takes me around the shops to look at what is on offer, what price they are etc its like a bit of a reconisence (cant remember how to spell it) mission. then about a week later he goes and buys them but in the mean time he may have changed his mind
I shop by knowing vaguely what I want and what shops they are going to be in and I then hit the shops and get what I done in an hour and a half at most. normally to finish in time for a nice pub lunch or coffee

Re: Office Window Views
What great pictures WS, birds in flight, chubby lambs (they were huge ) and gorgeous little Toffee Coo's !!! You must be loving that camera
Now you're all probably wondering what Toffee Coo's are well up here in Scotland you get toffe made by McCowans which has the picture of a Highland Cow on it, so hence the reason HC's are referred to up here as Toffee Coo's !!! I don't eat toffee myself so I'm not sure if it's even still available but maybe these pictures will jog your memory :)

Re: Office Window Views
Highland Toffee is still available as I am a huge fan, I had to get it imported from my uncle who lives in Kirkaldy as I couldnt find it in the shires but an old fashioned sweet shop opened about 6 months ago down here and they sell it
I go in there once a month and buy a whole box full (like the one you put in your post) and that lasts me about a month. My mate is Glasgow introduced me to the proper pronunciation of Highland Cows as Toffee Coos and the first time I said it in front of my partner he thought I was a bit nuts and asked what a Coo was. I tried to explain but he just shook his head. he gets used to weird words coming from me as I am Welsh

Re: Office Window Views
Doogs you are such a star for sending me a bar of Highland toffee, it arrived in the post this morning and it was delicious, I ate it as soon as I had opened it as I just love toffee.
What a brilliant present, thank you. Pete didn't even get to see it I ate it so quickly wow it's chewy and quite delicious.
Thanks so much

Re: Office Window Views
I have'nt posted on this thread since May, but if you remember I posted this photo of the Elephant at Llandudno, which is the Little Orme.
I said at the time there was a Crocodile on the Great Orme, and I would get a photo when I got chance. Managed it yesterday unfortunatly it was rather misty, but if you look at the top right of the photo you can see the snout then as you move left the bump of the head, and what looks like a leg coming down, and also it looks scaly
Well at least I hope you can
